All Aluminium Alloy Conductor (AAAC) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant overhead line conductor manufactured using heat-treated Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon alloys (typically AA6201-T81 or AA6101-T81). Designed to replace traditional ACSR (Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced) in aggressive environments, AAAC offers a homogeneous structure that eliminates galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. It delivers a superior strength-to-weight ratio, higher electrical conductivity per unit weight than ACSR, and exceptional resistance to atmospheric pollutants, salt spray, and coastal salinity. AAAC complies strictly with international standards, including IEC 61089, ASTM B399, and BS EN 50183, operating at continuous temperatures up to 75°C to 90°C.

Key Technical Advantages of AAAC in Overhead Distribution & Transmission
- Elimination of Bi-Metallic Galvanic Action: Because AAAC consists entirely of heat-treated aluminium alloy wires, it eliminates the inner steel core found in ACSR. This prevents interstitial moisture trapment and bi-metallic reactions in coastal, marine, and industrial sulfurous areas.
- Reduced Magnetic Hysteresis Losses: The absence of a ferromagnetic steel core prevents inductive core heating and magnetic hysteresis losses, increasing overall line transmission efficiency.
- Superior Mechanical Sag Parameters: The high tensile yield strength of AA6201-T81 allows for longer span lengths and lower sag under severe ice and wind load conditions compared to standard AAC.
- Enhanced Surface Hardness: The hardened alloy surface provides higher resistance to mechanical abrasion during stringing operations, reducing corona discharge points and radio interference (RI).
